Where I expect a happy ending, that is. I don’t like open ended endings for just about any story. In any medium.
I expect the detective to solve the case.
I expect the adventurers to find the treasure.
I expect the superheroes to save the world.
And when they don’t, I get bummed. Which is why I haven’t rewatched Crouching Tigers Hidden Dragons or Hero but that may be a completely different topic. Er, maybe.
So, why is it such a radical concept that I expect the couple to be together at the end of a romance?
Amen, amen. 😀
I don’t think it’s all that odd, I mean romance is all about two people getting together. What would be th epoint if they didn’t? (^_^)
Thank you. 😀
I know that feeling of panic well, though. And come to think of it, even when we’re talking about episodic series with the same characters, I’m a lot more comfortable when the couple are together, maybe not married, etc., but at least together at the end of the first. Maybe that’s why I couldn’t handle the Stephanie Plum series after the first few books.
Bev-I am in agreement with you. I enjoy reading series (normally) but I prefer that specific books loose ends to be neatly tied up for me. Dare I say it makes me slightly panicky when its not completely finished??
Yeah, I’m strange.
😀
Great BLOG!
