Quick post to say I just got my own eBookwise Reader so I know what I’m going to be doing the rest of the day – installing, registering it and then purchasing me some ebooks.

Er, any suggestions? I’ve seen so many recs in the last few months, I’m not sure where to start. ;p

  1. Got one for you if your still purchasing: The Fifth Favor by Shelby Reed. Or the new Sandra Brown – Ricochet, if you enjoy romantic suspense.

  2. I’ve never read an e-book, so I can’t suggest anything. I’ll be checking back to see how you like it though.

  3. Ohhhhh. I am so happy for you. I guess it depends on what you are looking at reading. But drop me an email.

  4. Have fun! How about Midnight Sun by Rene Lyons? You can read a review on my site. I liked it a lot.

  5. Oh, have fun! I just got mine last week and I LOVE it. My advice is to buy the Librarian software, it makes your life so much easier and it’s worth the $15.

One thing to note: Don’t buy from sites that do secure formats if you’re buying a format you have to convert to a Word format (so you can upload it to Librarian which will convert it to .imp format). You can’t convert a secure format. So don’t buy from SimonSays.com (which I know Jane likes) because their books are secure formats and they don’t sell Ebookwise compatible formats. Be careful on Fictionwise, because many of theirs are secure too.

And I’m happy to report that My Bookstore and More sells Samhain Publishing books in formats easily read by Ebookwise (html, .rb and .imp–.imp is specifically the Ebookwise format and few publishers actually offer it *grin*)

If you have LIT books now, you can use the Amber ABC program to convert them to .rtf so you can convert them to .imp format with the Librarian program (sounds confusing but it’s actually very easy).

There are lots of little tricks to figure out on the Ebookwise, but the wonderful thing about it is that it’s so adaptable for each reader and very user friendly. Email me if you have questions!
