A long time ago in a galaxy far away . . . okay, okay, let’s not go there. Anyway, at one time I had my own site called Beverly’s Book Sanctuary then real life got in the way, big time, and I finally just gave up on that. What I didn’t give up on was one particular idea from that experience – studying a list of my top personal favorite books in some detail. This is something I’ve always wanted to take the time to do for some strange, unknown reason that even I don’t understand. Especially given my aversion to that dratted “r” word which I refuse to mention.
Recently, I was able to pick up the domain of bevsbooks.com and decided it was perfect for that purpose. While I’m using WordPress to publish Bev’s Books, I intend to use keep this blog as a free-wheeling and rambling day-to-day commentary on what I’m currently reading or want to read. Bev’s Books, on the other hand, will, I’m hoping, be a much more structured and in-depth look at my favorites. In other words, I think what I’m trying to explain is that while Bev’s Notes will probably keep my sanity intact, Bev’s Books is purely a labor love.
And we shall see what develops from that.
