Sometimes, I feel like I don’t know my self very well. I swear I don’t particularly like time travels romances and then I go out and buy one on a whim. I picked up Portrait of a Man by Tracy Fobes today at the grocery store knowing full well it’s a time travel.

Here’s the kicker, however, from what I can tell the traveling in time in this one is from the future to the present. Realizing this started me to wondering about whether I might have a hidden weakness for this diversion from the usual in this romance sub-genre because if I remember correctly, most of the time travels I’ve actually enjoyed in the past have been that way. Not sure but the suspicion is suddenly aroused. I’ll have to go make a list
and see what I come up with.

So, anyone else share this quirk?

  1. I know what you mean, Sarah. I hate it when a time travel crops up in a series I’m reading that for the most part isn’t. It always sends me into a dither over whether to get it or not. And usually I do anyway. No resistance at all. (shoulders slumping)

: I try and avoid time travel like the plague. Though I did fall prey to it with Karen Marie Moning, and though I’ve had her whole highlander series for a long while now, I still can’t get past the third book. Go figure. I knew it was time travel, but I felt the need to buy the rest so it was a complete set. Yikes.
