I think I’m bummed. Sort of. I’ve noticed several fellow reader bloggers talking about how long they’ve been blogging and/or their blogging anniversary. It only made me realize that I have no idea how long I’ve been doing this. Or when I actually started.
This is either a very good thing or a very bad thing. 😉
Yeah, they probably do, which reminds me that I’ve been meaning to create an Archives page. At least, I’m pretty sure I imported everything from Bev’s Notes on Blogger when I transferred to WordPress & got this domain. So, anyway, I checked and the first post in the archives is dated March 24, 2005.
OTOH, the date per se wasn’t exactly what I was talking about in the post but that I feel like I was “blogging” a long time before I even started Bev’s Notes – all the way back to when I was doing that column on AAR, I guess, because I’ve always approached being on the web as more about sharing the reading experience with other readers than anything else. To me the blogging programs were simply another tool for communicating that experience on a website and I’ve had a website in one form or another since 1999 at least.
Your archives don’t go back to the beginning? That’s pretty much the only reason I know 😉
