Did I wake up a different person this morning? Cause I just read about not one but two books that shouldn’t interest me and yet do. I feel like a cat with a hairball stuck in her throat she doesn’t know how to get rid of. (Hehehe, now there’s an image for you.)
Anyway, the first title that caught my interest is The Quilter’s Apprentice by Jennifer Chiaverini and I read about it over on Marg’s blog. Sure sounds like women’s fiction to me and I normally avoid that with a passion and yet this one also sounds fascinating. I have a weakness for craft related stories - must be because I don’t do many and wish I did – so I may have to check it out.
The other is Boy Meets Girl by Meg Cabot and is apparently chick lit, which I avoid even more passionately than women’s fiction. Oye, what is the world coming to? On the other hand, one reason I do generally avoid chicklit is that so many of them are in first person and this one isn’t apparently. Most definitely not from the sound of it. Oh, and I heard about it over on Samantha’s blog.
Curiousity may kill the cat in this case but these do sound interesting.
I thought that both of those sounded good, too. I’ve added them to my Amazon Wish List, so we shall see. LOL
