A mixed basket of rereads

My reread basket was completely overflowing so I decided it was time to do a mass cleanout. And it’s a really, really mixed collection.

The Traveler by Melanie Jackson – I believe rereading this one was triggered by buying The Saint in the same Nightside series, probably as much to reacquaint myself with the world she’d created as to try to figure out why I tend to skip around in her books so much.

“The Major’s Wife” by Merline Lovelace (The Officer’s Bride anthology) – I love this little jewel of a story. Lovelace always does such a great job with heroes who realize what they have when they’ve almost lost it and decide they’re going to get it back. Must be that military strategy thing.

HeartMate by Robin D. Owens – Another one I think I ended up rereading because I got a new one in the series I wasn’t ready for yet. Every time I reread this one, I just adore Rand’s complete ineptness as a romancer and the way he slowly wins Danith over in spite of her very real misgivings.

Four Men & A Lady by Alison Kent – Former best friends reunited. Need I say more? (Although I do need to make a mental note to find out if there are stories of any of the other three men.)

Devil’s Bride by Stephanie Laurens – Okay, this is one I generally reread at least once a year and usually more than that. I’m not sure why either. I just like it.

Dangerous by Amanda Quick – My absolute favorite Quick, possibly my favorite Krentz period. ‘Nuff said. Really.

“Nightriders” by Hannah Howell (The Eternal Highlander anthology) – I think this reread came about after reading The Remarkable Miss Frankenstien. Can’t say more or it would be a spoiler for both. I think. Ask in the comments if you really want more information.

“Ruined” by Jillian Hunter (Under the Boardwalk anthology) – Okay, this one is a longtime favorite short story. The hero in it is just so adorable treating the heroine like a lost puppy he’s decided to keep. Yeah, I know, it sounds horrible put like that, but trust me, reading it is another matter entirely.
