Seriously, I want to know.
Because I was reading yet another romance-
You know actually this one might not have been a romance. It might very well have been one of a cozy mystery series I’ve been checking out but since I didn’t write the title of the book down when this irritation stuck yet again I don’t know. It could’ve been a romance because it’s something I’ve noticed in them a lot over the years. Like really a lot. The exact pet peeve I’m ranting about?
“tiny” 5’5″ heroines and “large” 6’4″ heroes
Now here’s my issue with that description. I’m 5’5″. My son is 6’4″. While he’s admittedly taller than both me and his sister, I don’t see him as extremely tall. I don’t feel dwarfed by him by any means. Nor do I consider myself exceptionally short either. I’ve met plenty of women and even some men who are shorter than I am. So there’s that. But I guess the thing that really bugs me is that the majority of the men I know are mostly 6’+ or about as tall as my son. So it’s not uncommon.
Now if we were talking 7 feet and over…
