I finally got over the cold I had before Christmas and made it through the holidays. Then I thought it was time to dig into working on this website again. Only that appears to be a slow process at the moment due to having to switch note-taking apps.
The problem started when Evernote decided to go bonkers and double their subscription price last fall. Which I ain’t paying. I’ll keep a few things on the free version but, seriously? No, Evernote is not worth that price. It also ticks me of that they are limiting the free version to so few notes. And one, yes, one notebook. Seriously?
Anyway, before I even got sick I was already looking around for something else. I found Notion, which I absolutely love. It’s so adaptable. But because I previously did most of my “writing” in Evernote I knew changing apps would put a major crimp in my ability to generate posts for a bit. I just didn’t realize how much of a problem it would be. Mainly, because there is a fairly steep learning curve to using Notion. It’s not impossible to understand, just, well, different. I’m getting there but it’s not just adapting to Notion. It’s also about having to move and reorganize the notes I already have on Evernote.
So, long story short, expect to see a lot of quick link type posts in the near future until I get up to speed.
