Bet you all thought I’d completely forgotten about this one.
Well, I hadn’t. I just haven’t had time this week to catch
up on it. Since it took me a lot longer to get back to this
than I’d expected, I decided to do one mass response to all
the suggestions, both in emails and blog comments, and
compile them into an alpha by author list.

Oh, and, before I get to the list, several of you wondered
how old Amy is. I guess it didn’t even occur to me to
mention her age, 25, since it stopped being an issue several
years ago. So, oops, sorry. (BG)

Anyway, on to the general “were” list:

* Adams, CT, & Clamp Cathy: Web of Evil? which has goodish
werewolves and some really unpleasant vampires
* Armstrong, Kelley: Bitten, Stolen, Industrial Magic, Dime
Store Magic, Haunted… The first two are ‘were’ books, the
next two are witches/warlocks, and the last one is ghost,
but all of them have elements of the others mixed in.
* Boyd, Donna “The Passion” and “The Promise”
* Briggs, Patricia: Moon Called has whole pantheon of
shapeshifters, weres, vampires, fae, etc. (not romance)
* Butcher, Jim
* Curtis, Annette Klaus: ‘Blood and Chocolate’ which
features the heroine as a werewolf who’s trying to find a
place to live between her two worlds
* Douglas, Kate: “Wolf Tales”
* Hamilton, Laurell K: “Merry Gentry” series
* Handeland, Lori “Moon” series (I have at least one of
these and guess who read it before I did)
* Harris, Charlaine: Sookie Stackhouse mysteries starting
with _Dead Until Dark_
* Harrison, Kim (paranormal, more vampires than werewolves)
* Hayter, Sparkle (mystery series)
* Holly, Emma: “Hunting Midnight”
* Huff, Tanya: “Blood” vampire books has werewolves but
should be read in order
* Kenyon, Sherrilyn: Dark Hunter series has weres (I have
several of these and, in fact, the first one of hers that I
read was the one about Vane, the were-hunter wolf.)
* Knight, Angela: MASTER OF WOLVES (I believe I had at least
one of her short stories in an anthology and am pretty sure
Amy really liked that one. Something to do with King
Arthur?)
* Krinard, Sue: a bunch of werewolf stories
* Liu, Marjorie: lots of shape shifters of various types in
Tiger Eye and Shadow Touch
* Monroe, Lucy: soon to be coming out with a werewolf series

* Murphy, CE
* Roberson, Jennifer: Cheysuli, not romance but fantasy (?)
(my son and I have read the first of her Sword Dancer series
and it was definitely interesting.)
* Sagara, Michelle
* Showalter, Gena
* Simpson, Donna Lea: AWAITING THE MOON, set in Germany,
early-early Regency period (late 1700s) and features a
family hiding a werewolf-sized secret
* Spencer, Wen: Ukiah Oregon, not romance but definitely
paranormal alien with plenty of shapeshifters
* Thompson Ronda: historicals with werewolves
* Vaughn, Carrie: KITTY AND THE MIDNIGHT HOUR
* Walker, Shiloh: “Hunter” series (along with witches and
vamps)
* Wilks, Eileen: werewolves aren’t the focus of the stories
but are there
* York, Rebecca: werewolf series, suggested starting place
of KILLING MOON (I did not realize she had done weres.
Hmmm.)

SPECIFICALLY ROMANTIC EROTICA EBOOK AUTHORS:
Aames, Lani
Arthur, Keri (newly in print also)
Davidson, MaryJanice (Wyndham werewolves novellas and book)
Douglas, Kate (short stories)
King, Sherri L
Lapthorne, Elizabeth
Massa, JJ (sweet, erotic stories – not big, bad alpha
werewolves)
Mays, Judy (some dominance/submission in these)
O’Clare, Lorie
Walker, Shiloh
Warren, Christine

Thanks so much to everyone who responded. My daughter is
really going to enjoy checking all these out and probably so
will I since most of them are completely new to me. (G)

Let me know if there is more information I can include with
any of these.

Beverly 🙂
