I started out the week with several posts in the works. Then life took over. As a result, I haven’t had much time to work on anything much at all. So I decided to simply do an update post on what’s in the works. More or less.
Godzilla, Godzilla, Godzilla
For Mother’s Day my kids got me a two volume set of Godzilla movies from the 1990s/2000s. Since then my son and I have been working our way through them in chronological order, a couple at a time. It’s both fun and mind boggling. You wouldn’t think there would be a lot of variety in them but there is. So I’m putting together a list post about that experience. It might be ready for next week but there is no guarantee. Mostly depends on when we finally finish our Godzilla marathon.
Lois & Clark/Superman
I’ve decided that the next new page in All My Favorites is going to be about my favorite pop culture couple. So I’m working on the “backlist” page for that first. Probably only covering live action stuff Lois and Clark/Superman have appeared in since that’s mainly where my interest lies. And there’s a lot of links to organize for that so I’m not sure when it will be ready.
Wheel of Time
Still trying to pin my son down for that interview I want to do about his love of the Wheel of Time series. I fully intend to get it done soon. Getting him to cooperate is another story.
The Dresden Files
While determined to take a mental break from WOT, I finally got around to listening to the first Jim Butcher The Dresden Files book, Storm Front, on Audible. I think I’ve actually read it before but I loved “hearing” it. A big part of the reason is probably because it was read by James Marsters. (Best known as Spike on Buffy The Vampire Slayer.) The books are first person and he’s absolutely fantastic as Harry Dresden! It just makes the story come alive. I will definitely be listening to more of those. Especially if I know he’s reading/narrating them.
