To see how much I can babble in fifteen minutes, that is. I’ve gotten so out of practice at blogging that I figured the only way I was going to get back into the groove was to just dive in and do it. đ So, I’m just going to start posting whenever the mood strikes in fifteen minute spurts, no goals, just free-form thoughts until I get tired of that.
You know what the really odd thing is? I never, ever liked to write in a diary when I was younger so why in the world blogging appeals to me in the first place I have no idea. In some ways, it doesn’t and yet in others it does. It’s not so much the “journaling” that does as the organizing of one’s thoughts into a journal format that does it for me, if that makes sense. I mean, when we write in a “real” notebook, we can’t always go back and find stuff. With these things, we can categorize and collect all kinds of ways. Which is neat. Scary at times, but still neat.
Blogging like the Internet itself is always an evolving process, too. I mean we don’t have to keep doing things the same way all the time either. I’m not just talking about changing themes and formats, although that’s part of it. We can also change focus over time, sometimes in subtle ways and sometimes in major ones. We can speed up or slow down. Or just go hide out with friends and not post at all for a while. Whatever works.
Oh, and before I forget it, I’m been chuckling at myself for the last hour because I just had a duh moment. I was checking out some books over on eBookwise and suddenly realized they have a “wish list” feature. All this time I’ve been grumbling and mumbling under my breath that they didn’t have one every time I bought books there. Oye. Learn something every day. Â
