So, tonight, I’m happily rereading along through the last Bar Cynster book by Stephanie Laurens, All About Love, when an elusive memory starts niggling at the back of my brain. See, there’s a special flower garden in it that plays an important part in the romance between Lucifer and Phyllida and it’s reminding me of another garden that was a clue to a mystery. Granted, I haven’t finished rereading but I don’t believe that’s what’s going on in this book because I seem to remember the clue garden was built by the heroine’s father (uncle?) and had some special mathematical meaning (geometric, maybe, or geographical?) that could only be seen from the upper floors of the house. Maybe.
It almost sounds like an element that would be found in an Amanda Quick but I honestly don’t know which one if so. I’m not even sure if I’ve really read this somewhere or am just imagining it.
I do know it’s driving me crazy.
Any ideas?
Well, since I don’t believe I’ve ever read a Stewart, Rosario, I doubt that’s the one but thanks anyway. I don’t believe the one I’m thinking of was a maze. What I do remember is a fairly unique garden but that’s about it. I hate it when this happens. 😉
Bev, I’m reading Touch Not The Cat, by Mary Stewart, and there’s a maze with a design that they only just discovered by looking at it from the third storey, because a tree that was previously blocking the view had come down. I’ve no idea if this is going to be the clue to the mystery (as I’m only half-way through the book), but I thought I’d mention it.
