Back when everyone was gnashing their teeth over the fiaso of the New 52 in DC Comics, I knew that eventually the “real” Superman and hence my Lois & Clark would come back. What I never imagined they’d have the courage to do was give Lois & Clark a son. From what I can tell, just having Jon Kent in the picture has rejuvenated the Superman stories in ways that no one imagined. See, it’s not simply the addition of their son as the new Superboy, but also the whole dynamic of Lois & Clark as parents. Especially Lois. But also surprisingly what it brings outRead More →

I have recently discovered the joys of listening to podcasts. But I’m picky and it took me awhile to find some podcasts I really, really like. Well, two. The other is a goal I’ve set for myself. The first is the Adventures of Superman radio serial on Botar’s Old Time Radio. I love listening to this. It’s just so cute. Yes, I said cute. And there is a lot of it to get through. (1444 – 12 minute episodes) One thing though, I knew before I started listening to it that the character of Jimmy Olsen was introduced in this radio serial. I didn’t know thatRead More →

I LOVE Krypto as a pitbull.. or a Great Dane? Seriously, eat your heart out Bathound Ace. Hehehe. The Chronological Superman 1967:Intercrime was a criminal organization introduced – and forgotten about, for the most part – in 1967. Despite the name, it didn’t appear to share any similarities with the Fourth World Saga’s “Intergang.” But that’s all beside the point. I’ve included this panel because I’d forgotten how terrifying Wayne Boring’s depiction of Krypto was.Read More →

I had already decided I wasn’t going to comment on the topic of the Superman/Wonder Woman hook-up, because frankly I’m not all that invested in the outcome one way or another. This rather odd storyline will in no way impact the way I feel about Superman or Lois Lane no matter how long or short lived it is. As far as I’m concerned. I still have the “products” I already love to rewatch and reread and what they’re doing just doesn’t involve the characters I love but some other people I don’t know. Is that short-sighted? Maybe. But, you know, fans and consumers have thatRead More →
