I currently have three fairly short non-fiction books at the top of my to-be-read list that I really want to read soon. I don’t read a lot of non-fiction… for “fun” I mean. I’ve been thinking about this for awhile, off and on. Most recently while re-watching some Stargate SG1 episodes. For the umpteenth time.  And it’s not that I don’t still love Star Trek! I binged on the first season of The Orville TV series and fell in love with it. Which completely caught me off guard. I mean I thought I knew what was coming. But it wasn’t at all what I expected. I know this because I am one. My son knows this because he is a male who has dealt with two female fans, me and his sister. In fact, we got into a discussion about obsessive sci-fi fandoms just the other day after he ran across a Doctor Who forum that I think actually scared him a little at the degree of, um, obsessiveness.
