I know this because I am one. My son knows this because he is a male who has dealt with two female fans, me and his sister. In fact, we got into a discussion about obsessive sci-fi fandoms just the other day after he ran across a Doctor Who forum that I think actually scared him a little at the degree of, um, obsessiveness. ROFL!! Thanks for the linkage!
Funny thing is, I was just saying to my husband this morning that I should share the story on my blog of how he and I met as well as what we did for our wedding–there is some scary, scary SFR geekery in my past!
