One of the things I did as part of my “getting back into the blogging groove” Sunday was activate the Askimet plugin on Bev’s Books as per Jane’s and May’s suggestions. I chose it because it comes preloaded in WordPress but I got to say I’m impressed. Spam isn’t a problem here yet because the blog itself is so new but you wouldn’t believe the amount it’s already catching on my blog. Oye.
So, here’s the learning question, does it work for programs like Blogger? Or is there other things that work better for them? Then again, I can’t remember, is spam a big problem on Blogger?
Jane: I am absolutely in awe of how well it does.
Marg: I didn’t remember getting any with Blogger but wasn’t sure.
I have had no problem at all with spam on my Blogger account.
I love Askimet. It does an amazing job of filtering out the spam. I think the way that Blogger eliminate spam is the word verification.
