As I type this I’m adding to my book database, Readerware, the handful of books I’ve managed to snag this last week. They are:
Cassidy, Carla: The Perfect Family – I don’t know why I got this romantic suspense exactly, except that I’ve enjoyed several of her category books in the past, plus a couple of her more humorously inclined single titles. So, sometimes I simply take a chance on an author’s new direction. At least once or twice anyway.
Knight, Angela: Master of the Moon – You know, I’m not sure I’ve ever read this author. I’ll have to double-check after I do the database update. And I have a strong suspicion this is one in a series but the description definitely intrigued me – vampires and werewolves in the same book?
Lovelace, Merline: The Middle Sin – Since I’m currently grabbing this author’s books like mad and this is the second in a same character trilogy . . . ’nuff said. Really.
MacGregor, Kinley: Return of the Warrior – I confess this one grabbed me purely with the title but the description on the back clinched it. I think. Okay, maybe I just have a thing for female rulers between a rock and hard place.
Oh get your minds out of the gutter. That is not what I meant. (BG)
And last but not least.
Wait for it.
Vanak, Bonnie: The Cobra & the Concubine – If you think the last book’s title grabbed my attention you should’ve seen me dithering in the store over this one. I think I put it down and picked it up about five times but in the end the description tipped the scales. Different doesn’t even begin to explain this one’s setup if the back blurb is to be believed. That it’s obviously one of a group of spin-offs didn’t even stop me in the end. Anyone know anything about this group because this is the first time I’ve even heard of it?
You know, I believe last week was more hectic than I thought. No way can I be that much of an impulse buyer when it comes to books. Seriously.
I think I’ll shut up now. (G)
