Now why does that sound familiar? Hehehe.
Anyway, one of the things I did give some thought to during my week off from blogging was what I wanted to blog about in the future. Books was the obvious answer but beyond that I once again attempted to come up with a workable weekly plan, er, guideline to use. I’ve done this in the past and haven’t stuck to it. Me and schedules like this don’t agree but I honestly think this one might because I am going to use it more as a guide for backlogging some posts rather than truly trying to stick to a schedule. So, here’s the rough draft:
- Sunday: reading accessories & collectibles (in fulfilling my neverending quest to find them, that is)
- Monday: topical rambling rumblings (well, even I have to vent sometimes)
- Tuesday: heroes & heroines
- Wednesday: blog watch (interesting entries I’ve found on other blogs)
- Thursday: special elements, authors or connected groups
- Friday: plots
- Saturday: reading basket (i.e. what I discovered, bought, read or reread)
The only other thing I’d add is that I thought it might be interesting to intentionally give more attention to the two components of storytelling that readers appear the most interested in - plots and characters (or, in romance terms, the heroes and heroines). I’m still working out how I’m going to do this but I think it will be fun to revisit a lot of my favorite romances by spotlighting just one of those in a post.
Racy Li: I’ve had several false starts on a plan before but I finally decided that at present I needed the structure. Not sure how long that will actually last . . . ;p
That’s a really good idea. I’ve been thinking about doing a blog plan myself 🙂 Right now it’s kind of random; the only thing I’ve been consistent about is Friday eyecandy, spotlighting the guy I’m drooling over that week 🙂
Yeah, I know exactly what you mean, Mailyn. Most of the time I find myself waiting until I have a whole stack of books to talk about and then procrastinating so I thought maybe this would help motivate me.
Well, at least that’s what I’m telling myself. ;p
Very cool idea! I am not so organized since I forget what I wanted to blog about half of the time. LOL.
