I actually began feeling well enough to start doing a bit of blogging about a month ago. So, of course, we immediately started having a lot of problems with our internet connection. Then it died. Dead. As in we were no longer even getting a usable signal at our house except on our phones. Thus began the search for a new internet service. Which is not simple when you live in a more rural area. Basically we’ve been limping along using mobile hotspots at home for the last month plus. Luckily we have an unlimited data plan or that would’ve been a nightmare. Honestly, though, that and still recovering from my hospital stay in January did not put me in the right frame of mind to dig into blogging. At all.
Not that I haven’t been reading over the last few months. And watching stuff. And playing games. Oh, and listening to podcasts. A lot of all of them. So I do have a lot to talk about now that I have an actual internet connection again.
One thing in particular that’s new to me anyway is that lately I’ve become quite intrigued by the life and writings J. R. R. Tolkien of The Hobbit and The Lord of The Rings fame. Not so much the books that he is know for – although I may get around to actually reading those eventually – but learning about him as a man and a writer in general. The more I delve, the more I realize he was a fascinating man. And a very deep thinker. Which is naturally giving me a lot of food for thought. And posts.
So hang around, things are starting to get back to normal around here.
