It’s not so much that I don’t feel like reading or even don’t have time to read. I just don’t know what I want to read. I even thought about pulling out some favorite Christmas romances but no go. Not even a glimmer of temptation there.

I did resort to sort of skipping along through all of my Stephanie Lauren’s short stories. For reason, I decided I was sort of in the mood for one of her heroes but not the full treatment, if you get my drift. Apparently not since I really didn’t reread the entire stories, just browsed through selected scenes from all four that I dug out. Interesting thing is that three of these pairings are childhood friends and the other couple are long time acquaintances who suddenly discover they’ve been overlooking something right under their nose. So maybe there was a hidden theme I was looking for. I wish she’d do more along this line and develop the childhood friendship more in the process because she’s excellent at using the nuances of one to develop a foundation for love. Much better than some of her lust at first site stories. As much as I love them.
