Because I’ve waited long enough to talk about it since we saw it the day it went online. And if you haven’t seen it, then–
Stop right now and go watch it before reading further.
Just saying.
I warned you!
So I’m waiting.
Still waiting.
Seen it yet?
Okay, we good?
Anyway, if you haven’t watched any of this amazing little series then shame on you. Because it’s worth it. And that’s not something I thought I’d ever say when people online started raving about, well, a baby Yoda.
Okay, now that the warning part is out of the way, I will admit that I think my mind was blown by this episode. Did not expect it to be, not just good, but phenomenal. The pacing, the story, the reveals. Everything was simply on point. This was an entire movie in an hour format.
And who cares about the quality of the CGI when it gives us something that we didn’t even know we needed.
Okay, I could seriously go on for hours here so I’m going to cut this short and share a couple of things. That again you need to have watched the episode before seeing. Just saying.
One of the things I got such a kick out of over this one wasn’t simply watching it. My son and I watched it together and I just about went through the ceiling at the crucial moment of realizing what they were actually doing. At long last. But watching other fans watch it was so much icing on the cake. I couldn’t even tell you how many fan reactions I watched that weekend and beyond. And cried almost every time. Just unreal.
So I found this compilation video that just about sums it all up — the joy, the pain, the love. Mostly the love.
And then there’s this nagging question. How did they manage to keep this secret? Seriously, how? Well, it’s an even bigger question when you realize–
Bravo, people!
