Because I have so many things I want to do on the site right now but my life has been chaos lately. Seriously it’s gotten so bad that I finally had to sit down and go over the “in-progress” stuff I’m supposed to be working on for the site. Mainly because I couldn’t remember some of them and wanted to make sure I still wanted to work on them right now. Oye.
Which kind of turned into an idea for a post. I don’t like doing these “a little bit of everything” posts because I prefer to concentrate on one thing at a time but life is what it is right now. So you get a list of stuff today. Without heavy formatting or links.
- One thing I really need to get back to are the posts I was doing about each of Jayne Castle’s Harmony books. Because a new one is coming up in November.
- I got and read the new Shelly Laurenston Honey Badger Chronicles book last month. Really enjoyed it and one thing I want to do a post on (eventually) is how she has managed to basically create “superheroes” inside that shifter community of hers. Yeah, that’s what I said and that’s what I mean. Superheroes. I keep waiting for one of them to learn how to fly. Oh, wait–kind of, sort of already happened? Maybe? More on that when I actually do the post.
- So, I’m still slogging my way though, er, reading the Wheel of Time book series in preparation for the start of the TV series next month. Have actually gotten to Book 8: The Path of Daggers, which is completely new territory to me. I think. Won’t be completely sure until I finish Book 8, But, anyway, something specific happened in the last book that has made me want to do a post about that series through the eyes of a longtime romance reader. Probably one with heavy spoilers.
- Recently I found out that Roku channel itself has added a lot of police dramas to its lineup. The one I immediately dove into in my spare time was Without a Trace. And it’s made me think a lot about why I am so doggone picky about police procedurals. I can watch police centered series and actually enjoy them but there is one thing in particular that I require before I stick around. It’s not always there so that thing is what I want to explore in a post when I have time.
- Oh and then just this weekend, there was the release of the new Dune movie. We watched it and I have to say that I’m impressed. Visually stunning but not rushed. Of course, I think they’re doing a trilogy so there is still a lot to come. But I will try to watch it again and make some notes for a post.
So that’s where I’m at as we head into November and the larger holiday season. To be honest, I’m probably going to post when I actually have something for the time being. Instead of trying to do one a week, I mean. If I can I’ll do one a week but don’t count on it.
