Is anyone else watching the Alice mini-series that’s the “grown-up version” of Alice In Wonderland/Through The Looking Glass showing on SyFy this week?
I am primarily because I absolutely loved the Tin Man they did last year based on The Wizard of Oz. That was last year, wasn’t it? Anyway, I absolutely loved that and fully intend to get it on DVD eventually. Oh, it had it’s bad points but it was so imaginative I can forgive those just for the storytelling experience. It was also longer, six or eight hours or more maybe while this one is only four, plus I’m a much bigger fan of the Oz characters & universe than I am of Alice.
So, I can’t figure out if all of that is why the first two hours last night left me feeling sort of — huh? What just happened? I mean the acting seemed good and I enjoyed the characters, but I have no idea what they’re doing. What the point was or where they’re going with the story? Really.
Or is that sort of craziness the point of an Alice story? (blinking eyes)
