I had already decided I wasn’t going to comment on the topic of the Superman/Wonder Woman hook-up, because frankly I’m not all that invested in the outcome one way or another. A funny thing happens when one takes a break from reading for a period of time. A favorite author’s backlist can multiply like rabbits, especially when we’re talking about the romance genre. There are two threads going on over at DearAuthor.com that fascinate me. One is False Advertising? and the other is The Changing Face of Romance . . .Or not?. I still haven’t had a chance to sit down and write out comments on either of the books I just read but as I was putting up the books I bought last week, I realized that I’d mentioned the Fobes one but not the other. While doing some research for a blog entry I’m working on about connected groups, I found out something I didn’t know, i.e. that Linda Fallon of the Shades trilogy, which I absolutely loved, was Linda Winstead Jones and a whole host of other Lindas apparently. Last week I bought the Hero, Come Back anthology and devoured it almost in one gulp. All three stories – one each by Stephanie Laurens, Christina Dodd & someone new to me Elizabeth Doyle – were really good. I was intensely craving a medieval romance over the weekend and realized with some dismay that there wasn’t one in my TBR basket currently.
