It’s been so hot here this last week (at least for us) that I’ve mostly vegetated when I’m not busy. Not in the mood to read even old favorites. Definitely not in the mood to write. Not long stuff anyway and especially if I have to think. I thought about doing some behind the scenes stuff on the site but that would mean thinking, too. Not happening right now. Seriously considered not posting but I already skipped posting last week. So, no.
What to post about when I have nothing though?
Well, the other night I was listlessly browsing around various channels. Absolutely nothing was appealing to me. Especially new-to-me stuff. Cause, you know, then I’d have to pay attention. Then I realized that Prime has new seasons of Death in Paradise that I haven’t seen yet. Bingo. Mainly because Death In Paradise is light enough (usually) that thinking is optional. Now normally I’d just watch the new seasons but that might require a smidgen of that thinking I’m avoiding at the moment. Besides, it’s been so long since I’ve watched (or re-watched in this case) this one that I decided a refresh couldn’t hurt. Besides it’s set on a tropical island. It has humor. And, yeah, some mysteries.
Perfect for my mood this week.
One of the fan favorites of that series is a character named Officer Dwayne Myers. Here’s a sampling of what makes Dwayne so beloved:
Dwayne is a hoot but my personal favorite is the second detective of the series, Humphrey Goodman. He’s just so adorably, well, Humphrey.
Got to get back to my re-watch binge, though, because I still haven’t gotten to the new-to-me episodes.
