Agatha Raisin
I discovered this series last year when we started watching stuff on Amazon Prime. It may actually be on the AcornTV subscription of Amazon Prime. I love to watch British cozy mysteries. If I see a new-to-me one, it’s almost a compulsion to at least check it out. This one, though, was an acquired taste. When I first started watching it, I honestly didn’t think I was going to like the titular character. But she grew on me. Her method of investigating is definitely quicky. After 25 years of making the residents of the Cotswolds alternately laugh and gasp while solving any mystery that crossesRead More →

relationship quotes from Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman
(Years ago when I was very active in the Lois & Clark fandom, I put a list together of all my favorite quotes from that show. And then it grew. There are probably a few more that I could add to it because I know I don’t have every episode represented. I may even one day create a video with all these clips. But, just for fun, I thought I’d throw it out there.) “Lois is . . . well, she’s complicated. Domineering. Uncompromising. Pigheaded.” … “Brilliant.” (THE PILOT) “What he can’t do it doesn’t matter. It’s the idea of Superman. Someone to believe in.Read More →
Fire Rainbows
I saw an article on these several months ago but lost the link so did some digging. Still trying to figure out if they’re real or a trick of photography though. Honestly, either way they are neat to look at. During the summer, if you’re very lucky, you may notice a cloud in the sky that looks just like a rainbow. listening to podcasts
I have recently discovered the joys of listening to podcasts. But I’m picky and it took me awhile to find some podcasts I really, really like. Well, two. The other is a goal I’ve set for myself. The first is the Adventures of Superman radio serial on Botar’s Old Time Radio. I love listening to this. It’s just so cute. Yes, I said cute. And there is a lot of it to get through. (1444 – 12 minute episodes) One thing though, I knew before I started listening to it that the character of Jimmy Olsen was introduced in this radio serial. I didn’t know thatRead More →

The Cover Of A Book
When I was a very little girl, seriously elementary school age, I memorized a poem for class. This is the one I chose. This is also all I remember of it but it left an indelible impression on me. I wish I knew the author so that I can find the rest of it. The cover of a book is like a door That takes me to a place that I’ve not been to before A pirate or a fairy queen may wait inside for me I never know until I turn the page what wonders I shall seeRead More →
