Not sure I like this one as much as the other but it has several things in it’s favor, not the least of which is that the left sidebar isn’t acting up. The other one kept bouncing to the middle of the page for some strange reason that I have yet to figure out. If I can figure out why that was happening I may keep both as alternates to each other.

Still, this theme is just as simple and neat, which is a plus because I can add graphics without worrying that they’ll totally mess things up. My butterfly definitely goes better with this color scheme so I may keep it for now. What I’d really like to find, though, is some type of trailing vine graphic featuring lots of purple and yellow and with maybe butterflies & hummingbirds scattered about that I could put up the left side and across the top. I shall keep looking.

  1. Love the orange & white (it reminds me of a cream-sicle :), and the three column set up!

  2. Valeen: I love it, too. (sniff) I could just never figure out how to make it three column and full page. (sniff, sniff) Never fear, though, because it’s still available if I get too nostalgic and decide to switch back for a while. 😀

CindyS: I have no idea what happened with that other template. At first it seemed fine and then suddenly the left sidebar started bouncing. I don’t think I did anything to cause it so I have no idea why it happened yet. Luckily, I’d loaded both it and this one at the same time so I had an alternate to try. And the code for this stuff drives me nuts, too, so I sympathize.

  3. I very much enjoy this layout. I love the clean lines and your colour choices! I meanwhile, have a huge dog’s head on my test blog. I have been trying other stuff but I keep getting lost in code and then I get frustrated and well, things go bad.

Oh, and I never could see the other template because like you said, the left sidebar was in the middle and cut the posts in half but not really because I couldn’t read them

  4. ohhh I loved the old layout! I kept thinking I wanted to change to WordPress so I can have it, too. LOL

  5. Yeah, I like him, too, and I figured since I was also going to be using him on RtB for my posts there, it would be a good time to finally find a theme that matched. 😀

  6. I usually read your site via Bloglines, but I came by to check out the new look. Very crisp and easy to read! And I love the butterfly.

  7. Orange? Oh, yeah, I guess you’re right. It is more orange than yellow. I think in the back of my head I was already wondering how plain old yellow could be showing up that well on a white background but I hadn’t really questioned it further than that. ;p

Still it’s close enough to yellow for the purple and yellow vine idea to work I think. Wonder if I can find a trellis for the top of the page . . .

  8. Very nice! Simple but nice and elegant. Love the white-orange theme. (^_^)
