We just “upgraded” to satellite broadband as our Internet connection this week. It should save some money in the long run once some of the odd expenses we no longer need because of it are subtracted off the budget. So, anyway, I’ve been spending the last few days getting used to not having time to read a book while browsing the Internet. Okay that might be considered a drawback but still. 😉

One of the benefits (?) is the ease of being able to download upgrades to programs that I’ve been neglecting lately. Getting Windows itself to download it’s stuff in just a couple of minutes was amazing yesterday, let me tell you. Even more of a surprise was finding out that the download unexpectedly included an upgrade to IE 7. Yeah, I knew it was coming eventually, I just didn’t expect it then. So, I’ve also been getting used to the new features on it, too.

I didn’t realize it could now handle blog feeds. That’s a neat feature I should’ve expected but didn’t. It’s probably a good thing to have too because I just found another subscription that Blog Lines lost from my list - Suisan’s! When that one disappeared, I have no idea. I’ve going to have to start scanning everyone’s blogrolls on their blogs just to make sure I haven’t lost anyone else. Grrr.

  1. What’s really weird is that when I was transferring my list into IE’s feed feature I could almost swear there were a couple of blogs I don’t remember subscribing to . . . and they weren’t infrequent posters either. I guess I did, but it’s sort of puzzling still. 😕
