James Oliver Ridney, Jr. – AKA Robert Jordan – was born on October 17, 1948. Sadly, he passed away on September 16, 2007, from a rare medical condition that directly affected his heart. Best known as the author of The Wheel of Time fantasy book series, he was and still is beloved by his fans.
